Seoul Lantern Festival FAQ
The event will only be canceled if access to Cheonggyecheon is restricted or if there is severe weather, such as heavy rain or a heavy snow advisory.In the case of light rain or snow, the event will proceed after snow removal and safety measures.
Heavy rain: The event will be canceled if Cheonggyecheon is fully closed due to heavy rainfall.
Heavy snow: The event will be canceled if a heavy snow advisory is issued.
Since the festival ends at 23:00, there is plenty of time to use the subway and buses before the last trains/buses.

Outside of operating hours (18:00~22:00), or they may be turned off for safety reasons due to power supply issues or weather deterioration.
If strong winds (especially maximum gusts) exceed safety standards, operations may be suspended due to the risk of sculpture damage and falling objects.
No, entry and exit are freely available through all staircases from Cheonggye Plaza to Samil Bridge, but when crowded, entry is only possible at Cheonggye Plaza, and all staircases will have entry restrictions but exit will remain available.
Yes, for visitor safety, when the congestion level of the Cheonggyecheon walkway exceeds a certain level, entry will only be available at some entrances.
